1. Booking a repair
When you submit the booking form you're sending the shop a request to carry out the repair you've described. A booking only becomes a contract once the shop confirms it (you'll receive a confirmation email or SMS, depending on your notification preferences). Quoted prices are estimates — the shop may revise them in writing once they've inspected your device, and you can decline before any work is carried out.
2. Pricing & payment
All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Payment is taken either:
- In shop when you collect your device, by card or cash, or
- Through a secure online payment link the shop sends you, processed by a third-party payment provider
If a device cannot be repaired, you'll only pay any diagnostic fee the shop disclosed up front.
3. Drop-in repairs
For drop-in bookings, please bring your device to the shop at your chosen slot. We'll always do our best to honour the slot, but on busy days you may be asked to wait a short time. If you can't make it, please let the shop know.
4. Callout repairs
For callout bookings, a technician will travel to the address you provided within the time window you selected. A callout fee is included in your quoted price. If we arrive and cannot reach you, or the device is materially different to what was booked, we may need to reschedule and the callout fee may still apply.
5. Warranty
Every repair is covered by a 12-month warranty on parts and labour for the specific fault that was repaired. The warranty doesn't cover new damage caused by drops, water, misuse, or unauthorised attempts to open the device after we returned it. Software issues, settings, or accessories you've added later are not covered.
To claim under the warranty, contact the shop that carried out the repair with your booking reference (PV4A-XXXXXX).
6. Your data on the device
Please back up your device before you hand it over. We do everything reasonable to protect the data on your device while it's with us, but we cannot guarantee its preservation during repair, especially in cases involving water damage, dead boards, or storage failure. We don't access or copy your personal files unless you ask us to (for example, for a data-recovery service).
7. Uncollected devices
Once your repair is complete, please collect your device within 90 days. After that time we reserve the right to dispose of the device under the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977 after giving you reasonable written notice.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything that can't be excluded under UK law. Otherwise, our maximum liability for any single repair is limited to the amount you paid for that repair.
9. Cancellation
You can cancel or reschedule a booking by contacting the shop any time before work starts. Once a repair has started — particularly where parts have been ordered or used — cancellation may not be possible without paying for the work already done and parts already used.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
